Elope In Ireland This Year

I am an elopement photographer, and have driven around Ireland to visit all of it's best cities, abandoned castles, and places to stay! If you love the busy pubs of Dublin, the charming countryside, or the wild coasts there are so many places to elope in Ireland and I'm here for it!

If you see a location below that you would like more information on, please just email me at thetattooedbride@gmail.com for more info! Permits are required for all locations below that your elopement photographer will take care of booking for you so that you are not trespassing!

Cliffs of Moher

If you are up for a little hike along the cliffs and saying your vows with jaw dropping views, then this is for you. The Cliffs of Moher are easy to reach by the main parking lot, and with the local farmer's permission you can drive up to an access point far away from tourists to enter the trail. Pack a picnic of local cheese and mead for an unforgettable picnic!

Waterfall Hike In An Enchanted Forest

One of my favorite places in Ireland after several visits here, is quickly becoming Killarney. Hiking to the Torc Waterfall in the Killarney National Forest is an easy hike to get to, and the forest is so lush and green like a fairy tale! The hiking trail has restrooms at the trailhead and it takes only about 10 minutes to get to the waterfall. There is so much to do in this area such as hiking on the Killarney National forest trails, taking a horse and carriage ride, and exploring old ruins of abbey's and castles that look like they are straight out of game of thrones! You can also take boat rides around the lake, and stay in a beautiful hotel on the water! The downtown is so cute, and all the restaurants and pubs are amazing (including the unexpected Thai restaurant)!

Abandoned Ruins

Say your vows in old ruins covered in Ivy. I think using the ivy to make a flower crown would be so perfect and all you need is your love of your life and the knowledge of these hidden gems from your elopement photographer!

Killkenny

One of my favorite places to stay in Ireland is the, Lyrath hotel in Kilkenny is a hotel you must stay at when in Ireland, and you can get married here as well on the grounds or the local area for an elopement! There are so many ruins in the area around the hotel, you can fly hawks, eagles, and owls at the Hawkeye Falconry School , and they can even deliver wedding rings to your for your ceremony! The hotel itself is so beautiful and there are places to eat inside on the patio, upstairs dining, tea room, breakfast dining, and bars within the hotel. In the Fall the leaves on the hotel are a stunning red, and in the summer they are green and gorgeous. The picture below was taken when we went in March (just before Spring revived the ivy). There are also big fluffy white dogs that greet you on entrance!

Dublin

Dublin (or as we like to call it "Publin") is a great place to elope if you want to enjoy the pubs and architecture that makes this a great city to elope in! Some of our favorite things to do here while Tim is working at The Inkfactory are: Temple Bar district, The Jameson Distillery tour, The Guinness Tour, Trinity college library, Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's, and The Brazen Head and The Old Store House Pub.

Giant's Causeway

The columns of Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland look like an architectural marvel, but the formation developed between 50 to 60 million years ago when a flood of lava oozed from fissures in the earth and rapidly cooled. The columns now are a huge tourist attraction, but certain parts of the day will allow less crowds and create an amazing place to say your vows.

If you are a game of thrones fan, you are in luck because there are many film locations you can visit such as Giant's causeway, the iron islands, Melisandra's cave, Arya's steps, and more! YOu can even take tours to meet dire wolves and dress up in game of thrones attire!
